Nor'easter Wind Speed Indicator   This low cost, battery or AC powered Nor’easter displays wind speed averaged every three seconds on a two-digit LCD display and is housed in a light finished maple wood block that can be wall or desktop mounted. It can also be used as a digital "repeater" display for other Maximum analog wind speed instruments or another Nor’easter. Included is the indoor display unit, 60' of 2 conductor wire, outdoor cup generator, and sensor mounting hardware. 9-volt battery and optional AC power supply not included. Note: This instrument is not recommended for some commercial applications, such as mobile cranes. Dimensions: 3 11/16" high x 4 11/16" wide x 1 5/16" deep. Power Requirements: 9 VDC @ 585 mA. Battery life is appoximately 2 months. May be connected to AC power with a 117 VAC to 9 VDC @ 585 mA power supply.    Generator Cup-type: 7 1/2" swept diameter, weighs 4 ounces. Output linearly proportional to 8 mph. Output @ 102 mph is 3 VAC @ 300 mA. Starting threshold is 1 mph. Black Lexan housing inpervious to shock, vibration, sunlight, and ice. Calibrated to a master to be interchangeable. Thrust and joint bearings are O-ring mounted, self-aligning to Beryllium copper shaft, impervious to moisture and salt air. Bearings are self-lubricating teflon for stability under extreme conditions.    Connecting Wire 22 AWG, 2-conductor, Non-PVC jacketed. Outdoor sensors can be placed up to 500' away.
